This Moment in Hardcore

Think "Wayne's World" for this generation and done via a Podcast rather than in a basement via the local cable station and you've got "This Moment in Hardcore" - a Podcast that is the brainchild of my son Nick and his friend Matt.  

Per their MySpace page:  "this is a podcast where we review the latest in hardcore, metalcore, and screamo bands. If you have any bands that you want us to review please let us know and we will do it in a heartbeat! Leave as many comments as you want and tell all of your friends about TMiH or else we'll Mosh all of your face!"

Can I just say how proud I am and how cool I think this is???

This coming weekend they leave for Bushnell, Illinois for Cornerstone - a huge 6 day Christian concert - where they are not only going as fans but also to interview a lot of the bands who are performing.  Again, how cool is that??  


As a parent, I honestly don't like most of the music but that's because it's just not my style - screamo.  Give me some good old fashion 80's metal and I'm fine but this music I cannot even understand.  BUT...they are screaming for Jesus and it has opened up the Gospel to a generation of kids who otherwise might not have listened or heard.
